Leaving no stone unturned of course! I've moved past the bar and club scene (mostly), and I am expanding my horizons to meet new people in unconventional ways. If the personals turn out to be a bomb, so be it; I can laugh confidently at my mistakes.
Having free time is important to me; I have a lot of activities. I enjoy working out in the gym four days a week, and playing tennis five days a week. And of course the beach is always thirty seconds It is especially nice when a cold front moves in; afterwards, the air is crisp and the sky is crystal clear. This is when I throw on a pair of swimming trunks and take a classic morning walk on the beach. My classical music studies take up most of the remaining time; However, I keep the weekends open for being social and relaxing! It also gives me the option for a weekend getaway. Travel broadens the mind and makes life interesting. The world is filled with different people, each with their own customs and outlooks.
TiVo is the best invention of the 21st century! It records my shows for me so I can keep my active lifestyle and watch shows when I want. My favorite shows include Heroes, Lost, Psych, Monk, and How Its Made. Movies off the beaten path can be very entertaining to watch, especially when they are well made with good actors. My recent film explorations include The Weather Man, Mini's First Time, Thank you for Smoking, and Donnie Darko. I found all these movies thanks to IMDB, which has a wealth of user reviews and comments about films. Action movies are fun but the most entertaining movies for me usually provide an illuminating look at some aspect of life or humanity. You know, those movies that make you *think*!!
Most of the music I listen to nowadays is instrumental only. Although the classics will always appeal to me, lately I've been exploring artists such as Alex Fox, Oscar Lopez, and Julian Bream. I have a diverse music collection with musicians that usually don't get any local radio play. Of course musical styles come and go so who knows what tomorrow will bring? Some of my favorite authors of fiction include Larry Niven, Isaac Asimov, L. Sprague de Camp, and most of the early Hugo and Nebula award winners. Preferred non fiction authors include Edward Griffin and Stephen Hawkings. Lately I've developed something of a nightly habit for learning about astrophysics (mainly the physics of stars, stellar systems, and interstellar material).
While looks are by no means the only matter of importance, appearance is a prelude to chemistry (in both directions). Therefore, you should have a recent picture or be prepared to send one. No pic, no click! Please be at least 23 and no older than me. I am drug and disease free, and you should be too. Back in the fifties, a woman was expected to marry and maintain the home while the husband worked. Thank goodness we don't live in the fifties anymore! A relationship is a partnership; a give and take of sorts. Women who are self reliant and blessed with a healthy dose of independence earn my respect and admiration. Being able to stand on your own two feet is a plus. They say that we are often drawn to individuals who possess characteristics and traits different from ourselves; in other words, opposites attract. This is true in my experience. A great match for me is someone who is complementary rather than a clone. So don't be shy if you have different interests than me; after all, variety is the spice of life!
My approach to relationships is simply "one at a time" so hurry up and drop me a line if you are up to my challenge; once that special someone steps up to bat, this profile is getting deleted, maybe forever!
